Plan 9 is out at Wal-Mart!

About 5 or 6 years ago I worked on a huge film project! The remake of Plan 9 from Outer Space, simply called Plan 9. It stared Brian Krause, Camille Keaton and Matthew Ewald. I was lucky enough to be cast as Tanna in the film as well as doing a lot of the makeup fx with Bio Duck films. The film has now been released on amazon and in 2600 Wal-Marts all over the US! If you love indie horror and awesome practical effects in them, then definitely give this film a shot!

You can find the film online here:

[Vox Box] Covergirl VoxBox

I have been doing Influenster for awhile now and love it! They send you products and you review them! They go from beauty to food to clothing or electronics! Lots of cool stuff, but they choose you based on surveys and what you review on their site. I got two voxboxes recently. A Slimfast voxbox with lots of edible goodies and a Covergirl voxbox with a lipstick and mascara in it.

Plumpify Mascara:

The first item I got in my Covergirl voxbox was the plumpify mascara. This mascara came in a nice box, and the mascara itself was closed off, you have to put the brush in, I am guessing so there is no chance of it drying out while on the shelf.
The brush has really small bristles and is plastic and the mascara went on great, any clumps that came off on my lashes I was able to get rid of by way of using the brush to wipe them off. I do not always wear mascara because it feels heavy, this was actually pretty nice when I had it on, so I would consider using this more in the future when I have to wear mascara.

Oh Sugar Lip Color:

I received the color Taffy for the Oh Sugar lip color. A natural color that is not too dark, and goes on very smooth. I liked the way this felt on my lips and it had a good smell to it (I hate it when lip colors smell bad.) I would definitely want to try these out in other colors if I got the chance too. It was a bit sheer so not pigmented too much, which is good when you want a natural lip color that isn't too much.

You can find Plumpify and Oh Sugar online by clicking on their names. Or in drugstores like Walgreens or CVS as well.

The Thicket Update!

Back in May I, along with one of my best friends, Mariah Johnson, directed a short film (our third film directing together) titled The Thicket.

We spent a total of four days filming the short film with a lot of amazing actors!

We even have a fantastic actor voicing a character in the film, Terry Molloy (who many of you may know as Davros from Doctor Who, as well as the many amazing dramas he has voiced!)
the film is now getting ready to be edited! I am so excited for this film and cannot wait for it to be out for you all to see! Here is a sneak peak behind the scenes photo of the editing process!

This film was made possible by a lot of fantastic people donating to our Indiegogo fundraiser so it could happen! I really want to say thank you to all of them here!

Rob Durick, Phillip Wright, Andrea Marie, Carl Garret, Steven Hancock, Tom Gore, Lora Wilkerson , Darren Conrad, Donald Mew, Dara Bewton, Richard Tarbell, Cathy Tade, Donnie Sturges, Bill Mulligan, Christine Parker, Jaysen Buterin, Trevor Wright, Anne Megibow, Paul Cardullo

without your help we would not have been able to make this film a reality! Mariah and I cannot wait for you all to see the hard work of all the actors, crew, and the two of us!
This is our biggest short film yet and we are so grateful and excited for it!

Makeups I Did for the Halloween Season!

So October is always a fun time where people want fun makeups done of themselves for costume! I had the opportunity to do a fun makeup on myself for the Charlotte Geek Gala this year, An old age makeup for a friend for spirit week at work, as well as makeups on friends for Anime Conventions held in October and November!

Fawn Makeup:
I was not quite sure what to wear for the Geek Gala this year, but I wanted to do something fun. So I looked at my makeup bag and decided to do a fawn makeup since the dress I had matched the woodsy earthy theme of fawns. This was super fun, and I even got to play Ukulele while in this get up, which was pretty cool.

I also had a little fun before I took all the makeup off!

Old Age Makeup

This was done completely with eye shadows and eye liners since one of my friends dressed up as an old lady for her class for spirit week during the month of October at work. She rocked it in her MuuMuu with her powdered grey hair! This was a quick, fun makeup (maybe 10 or so minutes if that)

Walter White- Breaking Bad

One of my friends decided for BanzaiCon this year he wanted to be Walter White. He asked me if I could do a bald cap and makeup on him for the costume. I spent about two hours doing the makeup on him and then did minimal makeup on my other friend who was dressing as Jessie Pinkman.

Rose of Versailles Fancy Ladies!

Two of my friends dressed as characters from Rose of Versaille for Nekocon this year. I did their beauty makeup for their costumes!  Their dresses were amazing and they both looked amazing! The bow lips are my favorite part of their makeups! So regal!
