[Tea Review] Kusmi Tea "Blue Detox"

Now if you read my tea blog you are familar with the French tea company Kusmi. I have reviewed a lot of their teas in the past. This time I decided to try one of their newer teas "Blue Detox". I generally do not buy "detox" teas, but this one sounded like it would be really good, so I decided to give it a try

Blue Detox is a green tea with mint and pineapple flavors added to it. From the box it has an amazing pineapple smell to it. Once steeped it has a great mint smell with hints of fruity pineapple. The taste is a light green tea taste with a hint of mint, and a subtle pineapple aftertaste. Not overpowering while still having a great flavor.

Kusmi sells their teas in a variety of different ways from loose leaf (in different sized containers) to tea bags to individually wrapped tea bags. I normally buy the loose or the muslin tea bags (since I travel a lot and it is easier on the mess.) This time I got the muslin tea bags, however in the box they weren't muslin, which was interesting, since I am so used to them. Still tasted great and am really happy I tried this one out! The box I purchased retailed for $17.40, and you can find all the purchasing ways on their webpage here.

[Tea Review] Lupicia Tea's "Soleil Levant" Holiday Tea

Lupicia sent out samples of their "Soleil Levant" tea in their monthly tea newsletter that they send out to customers who purchase more than $30 with them. I was really excited to get to try one of their holiday teas since I haven't gotten to purchase a lot of teas recently. Since I try to review holiday teas each December!

Soleil Levant is a green tea, the name means "The Rising Sun" in French. The tea has grapes and citrus flavors with matcha. You can really smell the matcha and the grape and citrus when you smell the tea bag. This tea smells amazing! Once it has been steeped you can really smell the matcha.

Art from Lupicia's packing for Soleil Levant

The taste of this tea was really surprising. It has a matcha taste with a grape taste as well. It is really refreshing. I did not expect it to have such a wonderful grape taste to it. I would highly recomemd getting some of this green tea before Lupicia sells out of it, since it is a limited release. You can find it online here. Also I really want to comment on the super cute package design for all of Lupicia's holiday teas! The deer and hedgehogs knitting is super cute and random!

[Tea Review] David's Tea "Countess of Seville" Green Tea

While visiting King Of Prussia Mall in Pa. I visited David's Tea, a Canadian based tea company, and decided to grab a few different teas from them. I mentioned I loved Earl Grey teas but also loved greens and the lady who worked in the store suggested this jewel of a tea to me! She described it as a Earl Grey Green Tea, so of course I was hooked from that description alone. However she then let me smell it and OMG it has such an amazing Bergamot smell to it.

I purchased 2 Oz. of the tea (now I wish I had gotten more.) It was reasonably priced at 8.98 for 2 oz. In store you could get less than 2 oz. but online it looks like they only sell by 2 oz. and up.

The smell is amazing, and the tea leave look lovely. There were a few twigs in the bag that I had to pick out, but overall very lovely tea leaves and an amazing bergamot smell to it. Davi'd's Tea's Website has a really cute description  for this tea "There are so many rumors about Earl Grey and his gallivanting ways. We like this one, about a trip he took to Spain. It’s said he fell for the Countess of Seville, a beautiful, dark-haired woman with a penchant for oranges. But did he really woo her with this green tea scented with bergamot, orange oil, cornflowers and orange zest? Either way, it’s a sweet, romantic twist on his original recipe. (MK Kosher)."

The tea itself has a lovely green color and smells amazing. The taste is a wonderful light green tea with bergamot flavors. Not as strong as earl grey and a great light tea substitution in my opinion, since I do not always want a black tea but love the bergamot flavoring in anything.
You can find this tea online here at David's Tea webpage.

[Tea Review] Vida Pour Tea: Raspberry Vine Green Tea

Vida Pour Tea is a really cute little tea shop in Greensboro, NC. I visited their cafe at the end of July (after a few months of wanting to stop by and check them out.) I got a tea latte (more about that in my review of their shop.) and grabbed a bag of their loose tea! They had a great variety of loose teas and tea ware but I settled with a Green Tea called Raspberry Vine.

Each bag of Vida Pour Tea's loose leaf tea is sold in a 2.0 oz. biodegradable bag. This one caught my eye since it was a green tea with raspberry and rose petals (which is always amazing in tea!) The loose tea has a great Raspberry smell to it along with that great grassy green tea scent.

The tea steeps beautifully and has a great green tea taste with a raspberry and rose taste added in. The fruit taste isnt overpowering and is very refreshing. I had a few cups of this tea before reviewing it and really enjoyed each one, I generally like to buy smaller sizes of tea (sample bags) instead of the full 2 oz. but I will definitely enjoy drinking this one in the morning or during the day. One 2 oz. bag make a little over 30 servings. The bag says 1 TEAspoon makes one serving, I have been doing one in a half since I like my tea a little stronger.

The color is also a lovely light color. General steep time for Green tea is about 3 minutes and I let this steep that long (I used my cute little tea hour glasses I recently got.) I would highly recommend checking out Vida Pour Tea if you are in the Greensboro, NC area. Check them out on Facebook here! or on their webpage here!
