Ipsy December GlamBag!

Just found out what I am getting this month in my Ipsy Glam Bag! Excited to try everything out this month!

Ill do a full review on all the items in this months bag once it arrives at my house! Always good to get items I will use, some of these are from brands I really like and then some from brands I have never heard of, so that is always a fun mixture to try out!

[Makeup Review] J.Cat Beauty Review

I love discovering new makeup brands for myself that have fun colors and products that I can use in my makeup adventures! I discovered J.Cat because of Ipsy. They sent out their Wonder Lip Paint in a Glam Bag. I was already a fan of Lip Tar from OCC, and being able to find another company that made a similar product in amazing colors, for less, yeah I was excited! Since finding out about J.Cat Beauty I have purchased a few other products in their line, some on their webpage and a few I was lucky enough to find at Ulta, which was super nice since I could see all the colors instead of seeing them on a computer screen! I have reviews of the products I own below.

Pout-Holic Lipstick- I love crazy lipstick colors (as well as regular everyday colors!) I found the Pout-Holic Lipstick at Ulta and picked up the color Shaking My Head, a shimmery gold color. This color looks fantastic by itself or over a darker color! It goes on smooth and is packed with color! It is creamy and feels very light on your lips. It also smells nice! Pout-Holic Lipstick retails for $4.99

Liptitude 24/7- This lip stain is amazing! It is very pigmented and the colors are fantastic! This lip stain will stay on ALL DAY! I used it on one of my friends for a costume they were wearing, and their lip color lasted all day. It is hydrating and smells great too! The colors pop when you have them on your lips (I have to dab it a few times on me so the color is not so intense.) The Liptitude was one of the awesome J.Cat Beauty items I have received in my Ipsy bag! Liptitude 24/7 retails for $5.99

Wonder Lip Paint- This was what caught my eye at first about J.Cat Beauty, their Lip Paints. They are in little tubes and a lot goes a long way, these tubes will last me forever! I first got the color Red Potion, which is a dark red, and super lovely when you have it on. I use a small lip brush to apply it to my lips so I get the coverage I want. (You can also use a cotton swab if you do not have a lip brush.) They also have a lot of really fun colors like different shades of green and blue (I also have their mint green and it is so pretty!) The product has a pleasant smell, and if you are careful and know to only use a little bit, it is not messy (however if you use too much it can be messy, so be careful!) Wonder Lip Piant retails for $4.99

Triple Crown Baked Shadow-  I love eye shadows! Especially ones that are really fun colors and pigmented! The Triple Crown Baked Shadows come in a bunch of different colors (12 to be exact, that they have listed on their webpage), each one has three different colors per package. I purchased the Greentea Frapp, which has a white, gold and green in it. These are also a really nice price at $5.99. I found mine at Ulta, but they also have them on their webpage! Triple Crown Baked Shadow retails for $5.99

Perfect Brow Duo Pencil- I love eye brow pencils, so I am always looking for one that works really well. The perfect brow duo pencil is a double sided brow pencil (color on one side and a brush on the other end.) They have a number of colors on their webpage, I purchased Brown. The color goes on smooth (I had to dull it down a little so the color would draw better when I first used it.) I is really nice to see so many brow colors since most companies only do four or fewer colors. Perfect Brow Dui retails for $3.99

Overall I would highly recommend J.Cat Beauty to anyone looking for great quality makeup, with fun colors at really great prices! So far I have not purchased a product that I did not like from them, and am excited to try out their new matte lipsticks and a few other products I have had my eyes on.

[Tea Review] Kusmi Tea's Tsarevna Tea

I am an avid tea drinker, last year I discovered Kusmi Tea, a Tea company out of France. I ordered a few of their teas and fell in love. I drink enough tea that I have decided to start reviewing them on my blog with all my other geeky reviews.

I got as package of Tea today in the mail, so what do I do right away? I pull out my Doctor Who mug, my rubber ducky tea infuser and I make myself a cup of tea!

I received a 4.4 oz. tin of Tsarevna Tea with an order I made on Black Friday. This is their Holiday tea that they release each year.

They have a cute little story on their webpage to go along with it;

"Once upon a time…
The Tsarevnas, daughters of the Tsars, used to journey to the heart of Imperial Russia for Christmas celebrations. They would go to the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg – the birthplace of Kusmi Tea – where an immense tree would be adorned with Christmas decorations. Kusmi Tea celebrates that 19th century tradition by introducing Tsarevna, a Christmas tea inspired by that era; a Russian blend of black tea, spices and orange. "

My first impressions after opening my tin of tea was the smell, it has an amazing orange and vanilla smell (more orange in my opinion though), I needed to make a cup right away because this stuff smelled amazing! This is a black tea so the tea itself is dark, has a spiced smell to it, you can smell the vanilla way more once you steep it.

The taste is subtle, very good, you have a vanilla after taste, and the actual taste has accents of spice and a very light orange peel taste. If you like your tea sweet you will have to add whatever sweetener you like, I always like to taste whichever tea I am trying before I add any type of sweetener (in my case honey.) For me this did not need any extra sweetener, it was not super sweet, but had enough vanilla taste to me for it to be sweet.

I really like this tea and am really excited I got to try it, since I most likely would not have ordered this particular one  (which has been the case with a lot of Kusmi's teas, has I not been sent their samples with my orders I would have most likely not ordered many of the ones I now regularly drink.) They normally send tea bag samples in each order you get from them, so it gives you the chance to try out other teas they have! Which is always a fun surprise! You can find Kusmi online here!

Loot Crate Level Up Accessories November

So in October I started doing Loot Crates Level Up for Accessories. Now I love nerdy socks and they had a sock Level Up, however after looking at what the two had gotten in the past I decided to go with the Accessories one since it has options I really liked in it. For the month of November they had two really fun items in their Accessories "crate" A Nuka Cola Bag and a Hunger Games Necklace.

Theme

The theme for November was:

Fall Out 4: Nuka Cola Bag

This bag is really cute, it zips up into a bottle cap of Nuka Cola and when unzipped is a fabulous, roomy bag that you can carry all your awesome stuff in! The fabric is water resistant, which is awesome! The back of the bag is really fun too! The Nuka Cola bottle cap zips up into a small pocket in the back, which is really clever!

The Hunger Games Necklace

I wear necklaces a lot more than other jewelry (well next to earrings) So I wasnt to bothered that this was the second necklace I have gotten in the two months I have had Level Up! (The Doctor Who necklace last month and this one.) The Necklace is nice quality and can be adjusted in length and has the Hunger Games logo on it.

So far I have really enjoy the monthly Level Up! Accessories, The surprise has been fun, and getting cute geeky items each month is always a plus!

Want to try it out? Check it out here

[Makeup Review] Sugarpill Addicted to Pretty SweetHeart Eyeshadow Palette

I love bright colors, so when I saw the Sugarpill palettes I had to get one. I decided on the Sweet Heart palette since the other I had my eyes on was out of stock. I had heard great things about SugarPill as a company, they are cruelty free, which I love! and they have lots of fun products! (Plus they just did an Edward Scissorhands inspired line, awesome!)

The packaging for the four eye shadow palette is fantastic, Very brightly colored, which I kind of expected from a company selling super bright makeup! There is even a mirror inside of the palette so you can apply on the go! The package is sturdy and thin so it fits in a makeup box, or a purse makeup bag easy.

These colors! OMG it is like a unicorn threw up in here! Look how bright they are! First off, finding a super pigmented pink eye shadow that will not break the bank is somewhat hard! This pink is crazy awesome and looks amazing on, their name for it is Dollipop. They also have an electric blue called Afterparty, a bright green called Midori, and a white called Tako. The palette contains 3.5 grams of each eyeshadow and retails for $34.00 (that's $8.50 a piece!)

Just LOOK at these colors! So bright!

Inside Light                  Outside Light

I would highly recommend this palette to anyone who wants that bright, standout look, that you do not have to worry about fading during the day. You can find Sugarpill's website here , and the SweetHeart palette here!

[Geek Girl Makeup Review] Disney Princess SOHO Makeup Brush Sets

So in case you did not know Walgreen's carries SOHO makeup brush sets! They have three brush sets and two beauty blender sets as well. The makeup brush sets are Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine. The Beauty Blender sets are Snow White and Aurora. I reviewed the brush sets since out of the collection those were the ones I could use (the beauty blenders have latex in them so sadly I could not use those :( ) However I was SO excited that three of my favorite Disney Princesses were the brush sets!!!

Ariel
The Ariel brush sets come with two brushes (one is double sided.) They are the Complexion Perfecting Brush (double sided) and the Beauty Highlighting brush.

The brushes are a lovely green color, with a scale design on the handle and a shell design on the metal part connecting the handle and the bristles. The brush (synthetic, nylon) hairs are soft and do not shed (which is always a good thing to know!) This set retails for 14.99.

The Belle set was the first set I purchased, and fell in love with these brushes. They are just pretty, and well made. The first thing I always do with new brushes is pull on the hairs to see if any are going to come out, none did for these, and those spare hairs that come out on your face are always so annoying.

The Belle set comes with three eye brushes. A flat angled liner brush, medium fluff brush and a large fluff brush. The angled brush is fantastic for liner, and the two fluff brushes work wonderful for applying eye shadows and blending.
This set retails for  $12.99, which is also a fantastic deal for good brushes.

The last set of brushes is Jasmine. Which has three double sided brushes.  A fluff and liner brush, a Crease and Detail Brush, and a Brow shaping brush.
First off a brush set that has a liner AND a eye shadow brush together? that is fantastic for a brush set that retails for 14.99 and is easily available!

The design on this one has a tear drop pattern and a lamp on the metal piece, the two purples also look lovely together.

I highly recommend these brush sets to any ladies who love Disney, makeup and are looking for some new brushes to use that are cute and very nice quality. They are affordable, and wont break the bank! Many Walgreens still have these sets, just check in their makeup brush section. Also check out the other Disney makeup lines they have in the store as well!
