[Beauty] Ipsy October Bag

I have been doing Ipsy for almost two years now and really enjoy all the different makeup and facial products I get in it. October was a really awesome month for Ipsy, I was so excited to see that they did a themed bag for the month with ghosts, witches hats and crystal balls on it.

The "Theme" for this months is "Black Magic" and had a lot of darker colors in the bags. I was really happy with all I received this month, but I generally can use everything Ipsy sends me.

I have received a few different tre'Stique products in Ipsy, from lip colors to eye shadow colors. They have all been great and I really liked the quality of them. This is a lip color called "Fig". It has a matte finish and the packaging turns so more product can come out when you need it too. This is a delux sample size. the full sizes retails for $28.00 on their webpage

Ciate' London flick eyeliner in black. I have seen Ciate' London's nail polishes before but have never tried their makeup line. I was really excited to get a black eyeliner in a format I really like. I love the felt tip liners because they are so wonderful to apply and stay on compared to the pencils in my opinion. This liner makes a nice smooth line and it goes on smooth. It retails for $19.00 on their webpage.

Ipsy loves to send out natural and brown eye-shadows. I was happy with this set because the brown is almost a black color. but would love some variety in their eye-shadow shades... This is by Vintage by Jessica Liebskind. It has a creamy vanilla shade and a dark brown-black shade (colors are called Vanilla and Espresso). The shadow itself is easy to apply and has a decent amount of pigmentation. This is a sample size. the full size retails for $30.00 on their webpage.

Patchology FlashPatch Eye Gels. I love getting face masks style products in my ipsy bags. I already get Mask Maven each month, but love face masks so much (especially during the winter when my skin gets dry.) These are gel eye patches that go under your eyes to help moisturize and make your skin look awesome! This company makes all types of masks for face, hands, and feet. This is a sample size for two uses a full size retails for $50.00 and can be found here

My last item is an item I already use in my regular makeup routine, Make Up Forever's Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation. I love this stuff, it goes on smooth and covers up blemishes, redness. It is one of the best foundations I have found in my journey to find something that works for my skin! This is a sample size, but fits great in my travel bag so I was really excited to get it. The shade is one darker than I would normally use, so will have to see how that works out for me since I generally use the lightest shade they make. This retails for $43.00. It can be purchased here.

I love how Ipsy is starting to do more themes with their bags. This months was awesome, and I am so happy with all the products I received. Ipsy is $10 a month and you can find out more here

[Geek Makeup Review!] More Ways to Have an Awesome Nerd Manicure!

So I sat looking at the extra on my Espionage Cosmetics Nail Wraps the other day and decided to do something different to use up the extra bits I had left. I decided to try out a somewhat french manicure with the extra bits that I had on the ends of the nail wraps I had originally cut off, and I love the results!

Over the last few months (since the end of February) I have work four different Espionage Nail Wraps (Literary,Orange and Pink Masks, Pitch Perfect and Nebulae.) I wanted some cute music nails again, so I grabbed the remainder of the Pitch Perfect and my Lavender Probelle Nail Polish I got in my Ipsy Bag this month and went to town!

Doing the tips did take a lot longer than just putting on the wraps, the challenge was making sure the nail polish was completely dry and wouldn't dent when applying them. I got them on and love the overall look of them, but I also know better for next time to paint my nails and let them dry for at least 30 min. or so before I try to put the tips on. I finished them off with Essie gel nail top coat so there wasn't a gap between the nail wrap and the nail to pull it off (I always use this top coat on my nail wraps anyways since it helps keep them on, in my opinion.)

I definitely will try this out with my other leftovers from my nail wraps (I knew I saved them for a reason!) I would also suggest this to others who want to try out a different look on their nails, who also love the nail wraps and nail polish!

You can check out Espionage Cosmetics here

[Ipsy Bag] March Glam Bag Review!

I have been doing Ipsy for over a year now. I love this monthly bag, I get all types of new makeups each month (and hair products, and tools.) I rarely get items I do not like, and when I do, I can always find a friend or family member to pass it on too.

The Bag

I loved this months bag, it is a Mint green-ish bag with peach colored flowers on it. Lots of room in this little bag too. This one will definitely get some use from me.

Margaret Dabbs London Super Shiner Buffer

This buffer was the first item I saw in my bag since it was not inside the bag (too big.) This was probably the only item I was a little lack luster about. It works well, I just don't buff my nails a lot. But it does work great and is really nice quality. You can find out more about it here!

Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream

I always love it when Ipsy sends me hair products. I have pin straight hair that does not hold curl at all, so I rarely buy hair products past shampoo and conditioner. Getting to try new things and see how they work is like a little adventure when I get hair items in my bags. This one I was skeptical about since it seemed like it was more for curly hair. But after reading that is also had benefits like sealing split ends I was willing to give it a try, plus the oils it has in it are really good for your hair. So far it has been nice to use and does make my hair look shiny! A full size of this goes for $8.99 and can be found at Ulta!

Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Rose Gold

I love blushes. I also love getting them in my Ipsy bag. Now I have gotten a few that were pretty SUPER bright and out there. That being said this blush was not that, it is probably my favorite one I have gotten because of the colors!

I love the highlight look this blush give you, with just a tiny bit of color (since my skin already goes on the red side anyways so the lighter highlight look is what I love!)

The packaging is also nice, not too small, but it also doesn't take up a ton of space in your makeup bag! This blush duo retails for $18 and comes with a Kabuki brush when you purchase it (brush didnt come in the Ipsy bag.) You can find out more about it here.

Vera Mona Lotus Eyeshadow in Clover

My next item I got was an eyeshadow color, one that is not brown! Which was nice. The Vera Mona Lotus eye shadow in the color Clover, a pinkish color, it rather pretty, and the packaging is also very pretty! I love the lotus flower on it!

This color is really nice and has a lovely shine to it too. It could almost be a blush with the color of it.

Vera Mona Lotus do not have single eye shadows on their webpage, this one comes in a pallet that they sell on their webpage. You can find it here.

NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick

My last item in my bag is the NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in the color "Kitten Heels". I was excited to try this one since I have tried other NYX lip products and they were nice. I was sad I got the red since Ipsy has sent me a lot of reds and I wear more nudes than anything when it comes to lip color.

This lip color is pigmented! oh buddy so much color, and it is fantastic! It went on smooth and even and I really liked it!

Very retro in the look of it, wish I wore red lipstick more since I would use this a lot with how well it went on. It retails for $7.00 and it comes in a lot of amazing colors! Find out more about it here!

I got some really fun stuff this month in my Ipsy bag, and I was very happy with it all! Ipsy is $10 a month and you can find out more here!

[Ipsy Bag] March Reveal

So Ipsy released what everyone is getting in their March bags! I am super excited every month for my bag.

I love this months bag! Mint green is one of my favorite colors so I am super excited for another bag I like!

The Pixie highlighter is something I am also excited about since there were so many bronzers and I do not really use bronzer. The cheek color is also really pretty!

I am always excited about the hair products Ipsy sends, I have gotten some amazing things to try since my hair is super long and I am always willing to try new products.

The nail buffer will be interesting to try.

I am also excited to see what color of the NYX lip color I am getting.

Overall this months bag is great!

[Ipsy] February Ipsy Glam Bag

My February Ipsy bag is here and I got some really awesome products this month! The last few months have been really awesome for Ipsy and I am so excited whenever I get my sneak peak each month from their webpage!

The Bag!

I love this months bag! It has a Pixel look to it, and that makes me happy! I think it is my second favorite bag, the Space one being my favorite!

Paula Dorf Baby Eyes Enhancer

Another brand I had not heard of. This one the top did not want to stay on (even though it came with a plastic shrink wrap to it.) This eye enhancer/highlighter went on very smooth and has a nice brightening look to it! I got a .02 oz. one in my bag. A full size retails for $20 and can be found here.

Luxie Beauty Flat Definer Brush

I got a brush from Luxie last February (A cheek brush) so I was excited to get another brush from this company. The bristles on the Flat Definer Brush are soft and it does not shed. It gives you a great defined line. I really love these brushes! (plus you can never have too many brushes)
It retails for $12.00 and can be found here!

Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Primer Oil

Smashbox makes some great products, so I was really excited to get something from them in my glambag! You put primer oil on, let it soak into your skin and then apply makeup, you can also use this at night after taking your makeup off since it helps with moisture. Skin oils help your skin, even if you have oily skin, so do not let that scare you away from it. I am super excited to see how this stuff works over the next week or so. My first impression of trying it was it soaked into my skin quickly and didn't leave a residue at all. The size I got in my bag is .13 oz. a full size goes for $42 for a 1 oz. bottle. You can find it here

Chella Lipstick Pencil

I had never heard of Chella before getting this Lipstick Pencil in Passionate Pink. First thing I noticed about this color was the smell, it has a very pleasing smell to it, and anything I am putting on my lips I do not want to smell bad, so that was a great plus. The color was also very pretty, not super bright and it went well with my skin tone. The color went on smooth and had great coverage!
I got a 1.35g size pencil, a full size retails for $18 and can be found here.

Jersey Shore Cosmetics Vanilla Bean Anti-Aging Lip and Hand Polish

This is what I was most excited about in my GlamBag this month! I had seen the Pumpkin Spice Lip conditioner they had as a point perk a little bit ago, and missed it. So I was excited to get something from this company. This stuff is interesting. Its for lips and hands, its a lot like a sugar scrub, you use damp water and scrub it on your skin and rub it in then rinse off. The smell is great, wonderful vanilla smell. I really liked this, I had to smoosh it around so it was mixed properly in the tube before I used it, but it worked really well and has a great exfoliating feel to it.
It comes in a 1oz. container and can be found here.

I am loving Ipsy, and each month it is a fun surprise! I have been getting these bags for just over a year and have gotten so try so many awesome products I would have never known about if I had not! Ipsy is $10 a month and you can find out about it here.

[Ipsy] Ipsy February Glam BAg

Just got to see what I will have in my February Ipsy Bag!! I am always excited to try all the new products each month that Ipsy sends me!

This months bag is super cute! Very Pixelated and pretty to go along with Valentines Day!

I think these are the two items I am most excited about! A new brush! (And Luxie brushes are nice! I love the blush brush I got many months ago!) Also I have really wanted to try Jersey Shore Cosmetics. Ipsy had one of their chap sticks a few months ago (pumpkin Spice) and I was sad I missed grabbing it with points before it was out. So I am super excited to try this one out!

A new lip color (from a brand I am not familiar with! Woot!) and a eye enhancer to help make my eyes look even more huge and anime! (jk) Excited to check out both of these!

This one will also be interesting to try, I will say I liked some of the other items, but am always up for trying out new stuff, plus Smashbox is an amazing company with really great quality makeup products!

Over all I am super excited for this month! I get to try out so many great products from brands I have really wanted to try, or will get to discover!

[Ipsy] January Ipsy Glam Bag

I got a lot of great items in this months glam bag! So far Ipsy has not let me down with what I have gotten!

First off the Bag! This month is cute, for the most part the bags have been solid colors or patterned, this one has a really cute design on it! (I do think my favorite is still the space bag though, it was super pretty!) But I do love the design on this bag for this month, it will definitely get used for stuff!

Next up is the body cream I recieved from Mitchell and Peach called "English Leaf Body Cream". This body cream was great! It had a light smell and was really moisturizing! I had never heard of this brand before, but am always excited when Ipsy sends me lotions because they have not sent me one I do not like so far!

The Balm Cosmetics; Mr Write Me Now eyeliner! I received the color Jack B. Bronze, a bronze color. This eyeliner went on amazingly, it was smooth and had great color coverage! The bronze color was vibrant and had a bit of shine to it. It also stayed in place and did not wipe off easily. I also love the packaging for it! This was a full size, so that was awesome!

Pur~Lisse, Blue Lotus 4-in-1 eye adore serum. This serum went on the skin smooth and didn't leave it greasy at all. It says for all skin types, and I do not have incredibly sensitive skin so this worked well for me to use. Would definitely continue using.

City Color Eyeshadow Trio, Now I have gotten a lot of brown eye shadows from Ipsy, I kinda feel like that is all I get eyeshadow wise from them. The quality of eyeshadow is nice. The dark brown/bronze color is my favorite, it has a great shiny look to it! The eyeshadows themselves had great coverage. The bronze and light brown are shiny and the tan/orange color is a matte shade. The container was really hard to open though, and still is after a few openings.

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara, While I did put I did not want mascaras on my Ipsy profile, I have gotten a few of them in the last year (maybe 3 or 4.) I have rather long lashes so I do not wear mascara a lot. My first impressions of this mascara was that the brush looked like the product would go on well, it was a standard mascara brush, nothing too special. The coverage was normal for mascara, it went on smooth and had good coverage while on.

I am overall very happy with this months bag! I can use everything in it, which is what is important since why have the product if you cant use it. If you are interested in Ipsy you can check it out here on their webpage

Ipsy Bag November 2015

Here is my review of all the items in my November 2015 Ipsy bag!

The Bag: THIS BAG! this is my favorite bag that I have ever received from Ipsy. The galaxy motif looks fantastic and I love this bag! It is so pretty!

Ayres Hand Cream- I got this as an extra this month from using Ipsy points. I really loved the Ayres Patagonia Body Butter (it had a hint of Bergamot, so of course I loved it!) This hand cream is creamy, soaks into your skin and has a lemongrass smell to it, which is subtle and not overwhelming at all. It is also very moisturizing.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara- I have used Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara before and really like it. I have it on my Ipsy list that i do not want to receive mascara, but since everyone got this in their bag, I am OK with that (especially since when I do wear mascara, this is one I do not mind using) I have incredibly long lashes so I do not always use mascara, unless I am wearing costumes or going to a special event. This is a great quality mascara and I would recommend it to any of my friends looking for a brand to go with!

INSPR Beauty Eyeshadow in the color Carnival- I get a lot of brown/nude/champagne eyeahdows from Ipsy (I was REALLY excited for the NYX trio a few months ago though because yeah.) This color is very light (VERY light) it has a really pretty shimmer and is not dark at all. It is a color I will use so that is always a good thing! Very shimmery, which you can never have enough shimmer!

Mai Couture Hello Gorgeous Makeup Paper Travel Blush- Blush paper was the one item I was somewhat on edge about in my Ipsy Bag this month. I wear blush very sparingly, and I am weird on what colors I wear. This is VERY pink, and shimmery. It is however not overwhelming in color and looks very pretty for someone like me, who has fair skin. I am not sure how much I like the paper format, but it doesnt take up a lot of space in my makeup bag, which is nice.

Bdellium Tools Blending Brush (Eyes 776)- I LOVE getting brushes in my Ipsy Bags. You can never have too many brushes, ever! This one aesthetically isn't very pretty, the bristles are soft  and flexible, and not many came out after I used it once or twice, the first few loose ones from packaging seemed to be it. So overall a decent brush to blend with.

Figs and Rouge Mattifying Emulsion- This is what I was super excited to try out this month! I have oily skin, and anything that helps make my skin a matte, non shiny mess (ya know unless I add that shine myself) is a good thing. Mattifying Emulsion is supposed to minimize pores and be anti-shine, it does help with both. The consistency has a watery lotion feel to it. It goes on your skin an soaks in quick. Does not have a strong smell at all (you can barely smell it actually.) It also does not feel like you have anything on your skin, which is good. I was very happy that the one item in my bag I was most excited for, ended up living up to my hopes for it!

Ipsy is $10 a month and you get a bag with travel and full sized products in it! I have been doing it for almost a year and I love it! Check it out here!
